The Boars Head is an 18 century coaching inn next door to Ripley Castle and Gardens, an historic attraction open to the public all year round. This makes for a fascinating and entertaining day out. Dogs are allowed in certain rooms too.

Lady Ingilby has a fine eye for style and detail which explains why each of the twenty five luxury bedrooms is individually decorated and furnished and contains the sort of trimmings you would expect at a hotel of this quality.
Friends of the Ingilbys invited to stay at the Castle have been known to book themselves in at the Boar's Head rather than spend the night at Castle : the hotel is much more comfortable!
Toy boats have been provided in each bathroom so all guests are able to push the boat out during their stay.

The Boars Head serves a veriety of fine Yorkshire fayre and hearty Full English breakfasts for those who like to build up their stamina. Naturally, if you prefer, lighter breakfasts are available.

The beautiful town of Harrogate is about 15 minutes drive away for those who like to shop till they drop.
