Whitby Golf Club
Visitor Information |
| We are looking forward to welcoming you and your party for an enjoyable day out at Whitby Golf Club. In order to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for your visit, please make the following information available to your players. |
| Dress Regulations |
| A reasonable standard of dress should be adopted at all times both on the course and in the club house. Attention is drawn in particular to the following: |
|
| Handicaps |
|
All visitors will be expected to be current golf club members with official handicaps. Handicap certificates should be available from all players on request. Alternatively, the party organiser may supply the Secretary with a list of players indicating their clubs and handicaps. |
| Golf Clubs |
| Each player must have a set of golf clubs - sharing is not permitted. |
| Play |
|
The 1st Tee will be reserved for you at the time agreed. Please ensure that all your players start promptly after the beginning of your reservation. Play should commence from the 1st Tee only and from the Yellow (men) or Red (ladies) tee markers. It is requested that no individual competitions are played in fours and it should be noted that Texas Scramble format is not permitted at any time. |
| Etiquette |
|
Parties are requested to be considerate to members and other visitors at all times and to observe the Rules of Golf. |
| Insurance |
| The green fee includes public liability and third party insurance for the day. Should an accident happen, please follow this procedure:
1) speak to the person whose property has been damaged and explain that the Club's insurance will cover the damage; 2) report the accident on your return to the Club either to the Pro or to the Steward. It is vital that the Club maintains good relations with its neighbours and we would ask you to play your part in that. |
| Restrictions |
| There are times when the use of trolleys is restricted to those over 65 or with a medical condition which prevents them from carrying. All other members and visitors are advised to come prepared to carry their clubs should conditions dictate. |

We will highlight properties with disabled or easy access for you to decide whether the property or establishment may be suitable for your needs and requirements.
