Monkhaven cottage is a delightful 4 star Whitby Dog Friendly holiday cottage bursting with character located in a quiet yard of fishermens' cottages, off the cobbled area of the envied holiday area of Church Street. Tate Hill beach, is on the doorstep for you and your dog to enjoy walking on the sands or beside the surf. The cottage is a welcome respite for travellers to Whitby. The cottage, just off Church Street, is in an ideal, convenient location for shopping, eating and drinking or a trip to the beach. Whitby Abbey, the 199 steps are a short walk away. The location is out of the way of hustle and bustle, but close enough for you to enjoy the close by amenities. Ideal for you and your dog.

Inside

The cottage sleeps 4 people. It oozes charm, has  a warm, homely ambience that fits beautifully with the traditional style of a Whitby holiday cottage coupled with modern facilities for you to enjoy the best of both worlds. You will feel at home immediately.

The Lounge/Kitchen

A porch leads you into the lounge area. Traditional, cosy and furnished to a high standard of comfort, it has a beamed ceiling and exposed brickwork as well as a wooden floor. Quality pictures and nautical touches add to your Whitby seaside experience.

A few steps down from the lounge leads you into the charming kitchen/dining area. Fully equipped, there is a dining table and chairs in this area for you to enjoy Whitby's fresh local produce together. Please note your dog is not allowed on furniture or upstairs - thank you.

Upstairs

There are 2 bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom, beautifully presented and again giving off a traditional, warm feeling to settle you down ready for a heavenly night's sleep.

The Bathroom, in keeping with the style of this lovely holiday home has a separate shower, bath, wc and washbasin.

Outside/Parking/Reviews

There is a small patio area outside the cottage which is the parking area for one small to medium car. Set just off Church street, the entrance leading into the yard where the cottage is located will only allow for a small car. *Please note access for your car is under a 6ft 6ins archway.* Please discuss this with the owner for more comprehensive information. If your booking is for 2 couples with a car each, there is parking in the main car park in Church Street, a short walk away. Monkshaven Cottage has some great guestbook reviews and offers "you tube" for you to get a true feel of this stunning Whitby accommodation. Short breaks are available at this beautiful cottage.
